A Comparative Study of a Local School
By Gabriel Frugie, Aurelio Hernandez and JR Gomez
We are all accustomed to Harmony ways with education. The
sporadic and random changes are always fun to see how things work out. Haven’t
you ever wondered what it is like at other schools? Harmony is a good school
for education. This article examines another local high school and compares its
course work with Harmony.
At Grand Prairie’s Dubiski Career High School, their
curriculum prepares you for 2-4 years of college and students graduate with a
certification for the work force. DHS
has a large campus that accommodates over 3,000 students which may be too large
of a student population for some people who may prefer a smaller class size and
a better student-teacher ratio. Their programs include cosmetology, health
science, mechanical engineering, graphic arts, culinary arts, and many other
programs students can register for. It is obvious that Dubiski is a great
school.
Other public schools have a different way of teaching.
Harmony’s method is very just and is a very reasonable school that always has
college on the mind. Other schools graduating percentage is 50 percent graduate.
Harmony’s graduation rate is 100 percent. Harmony does make sure 100 percent
pass, in order to graduate from Harmony you have to have 100 hours of community
service, and be accepted to a college to earn a degree.
As you can tell, Harmony
deserves this 100 percent rate with these strict rules. Our school and students
deserves the best!
